Whipped Coffee

You’ve probably come across this by now, but what’s a food and drink trend if I don’t give it a go too? I’m serving up Dalgona, the Korean coffee drink, aka WHIPPED COFFEE. It’s the latest coffee trend sweeping the nation and let’s face it, we all need something nice to cheer us up during these trying times.

I followed this recipe, but you can get creative with it.

If you want a twist, try blending a banana with your milk of choice. Banana coffee is SUPER delicious and definitely worth a try if you haven’t had it before. You could also add cinnamon and/or cardamom to your coffee for a spice kick.

INGREDIENTS

2 tbsp instant coffee
2 tbsp sugar
2 tbsp hot water
milk of choice in amount of choice
optional: ice

DIRECTIONS

  1. In a bowl, combine your instant coffee, sugar, and hot water.
  2. Use a stand mixer or handheld mixer and whisk on HIGH for about 5 minutes, until your mixture forms stiff peaks and is dense and doubled in size.
  3. Fill up your glass with however much milk of choice you want, depending on how much coffee you want to drink, and add your whipped coffee on top, spoonfuls at a time.
  4. Admire, snap it, Instagram it. Mix with a teaspoon or straw and enjoy!
