Week 5: Photographer’s Choice x Wild Card

Photographer’s choice!? You know what that means – definitely a selfie.

My neighbor’s cat and I have a mutual love thing going on and he popped up during my shoot after I got my hair done (hellooooo ORANGE! ginger). As you can see, I use a little remote to achieve these photos and cradling him for pictures often means it pops up into view.

Gummy Bears

I’m heading out a little later to hang up a bunch of my art at a gallery (!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) so I thought I’d share one of the pieces that’ll be displayed. Last time I did an art show, this was the only piece that sold. There’s just something about these gummy bears that people love. I ain’t complainin’.

Happy Easter!

It’s still Easter Sunday over here in Eastern Standard Time, and therefore not too late for me to share my eggs this year.

I was too busy with work to be able to do my fancy pysanky/kistky eggs this year, but I bought gold “dye” because we didn’t have any yellow, and all in all, our eggs turned out pretty cool. After I’d dyed several in blue, green, red, and purple, and I’d rubbed the first layer of gold on the gold eggs, I decided to roll one of them in my golden hands, and it turned out that it looks kind of like a golden galaxy on a field of a given color.

Fairy Bower

The Michigan Renaissance Festival started doing a fairy house contest last year where goers were challenged to create houses that fairies might live in. They’re lined up in a large empty portion along the walkway and they’re probably one of the neatest attractions there. Each house is different, in both size and artistic creativeness, and each is gorgeously unique. Here’s one that I personally liked this year.
