Week 8: Zoom Burst x Technical

Definitely still playing catch up, but listen.

This zoom burst challenge really got me challenged. And I’m giving up on it. I know I’ve achieve it before – and you know what, I’ll include one of my favorite shots from that time at the end – but this time around? I cannot get it down. So I’m calling this one a wrap and moving on.

It’s not really an effect I try to achieve, like, ever, anyway.

And then, here’s an old selfie from 6 years ago! in Philadelphia, when Maria and experimented with our cameras one night. I think we got the zoom burst down that night.

Stars Shine Brightly

Yes, I did start this project a few days into the new year, but I’m ending it today.

It’s been an incredible journey and I’ve been thrilled (and exhausted) to share new and old photos with all of you every day for all of 2014. It was certainly a challenge at times – and yes I did fail to update a few times this year, but all in all, I think it was a successful project that pushed me to really learn my camera and use it.

This blog will definitely not be done, however. Photography is one of my main pillars of artistic release, and I will definitely continue updating with more new content and new adventures, so stay tuned.

Thank you to everyone who has kept up with me along this project, to all of my new followers, and old – I am grateful for your audience and I wish you all a Happy New Year!

More bokeh play.

I played around with this in Photoshop to give it a more dramatic effect and I absolutely 110% love the way it turned out.

I was initially going to use one of the other photos that has a million “sex”‘s from more lights, but I think this singular one is way better and I’m glad I even photoed it in the first place.

I’m super mature, btw. Follow me on Instagram for more pics & giggles. @lovelikeangels

Starry Night

I put up some white light Christmas lights in my room earlier this week after deciding they looked terrible on our tree (yes our X-Mas tree is up) and not only do they make my room looks super cute and festive, but they’re the perfect play-things for nights when I’m like oh shit, what am I gonna post on the blog!?

Lights. Bokeh, that’s what.

I haven’t played around with bokeh in a while, so I decided to make some quick bokeh filters too. BONUS PIC AT THE BOTTOM TONIGHT! Follow me on Instagram for more of that @lovelikeangels xoxox

BONUSSSS: Bokeh filters in progress.

Keepin’ It Real in the D

I spent all this past Saturday chillin’ like a villain (and getting work done!) with Angela at PeaceLoveSpandex. At the end of the day on our way back to the studio, she drove around Downtown and Corktown so I could grab some pictures and see where various things are. I got some awesome shots of the D, including the skyline, the Westin hotel, the Renaissance Center, and Michigan Central Station.
