Vanilla Cream Cheese Cookies

Square

Don’t get me started on the marriage of cream cheese and cookies. Was there ever a more powerful duo? Right.

Listen, snatched this recipe from Preppy Kitchen, and I fell in love with it. It’s so simple and so freaking good tasting. These cookies are a perfect blend of a little tang meets sweet, and you’ll want these all the time. Check it:

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 8 oz cream cheese
  • 1 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 eggs, room temp
  • 4 tsp vanilla extract
  • 3 1/2 cups flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp salt

DIRECTIONS

  1. Preheat oven to 350F
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, salt and baking powder, and set aside.
  3. In a stand mixer with the paddle attachment, cream the butter and cream cheese together. Add the sugar, beat until fluffy, and then add the egg and vanilla.
  4. Slowly add the dry ingredients until just combined. Cover and chill for 1 hour.
  5. With damp hands, roll the dough into balls and bake for about ~10 minutes. Enjoy!
