Don’t get me started on the marriage of cream cheese and cookies. Was there ever a more powerful duo? Right.
Listen, snatched this recipe from Preppy Kitchen, and I fell in love with it. It’s so simple and so freaking good tasting. These cookies are a perfect blend of a little tang meets sweet, and you’ll want these all the time. Check it:
INGREDIENTS:
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 8 oz cream cheese
- 1 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 2 eggs, room temp
- 4 tsp vanilla extract
- 3 1/2 cups flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp salt
DIRECTIONS
- Preheat oven to 350F
- In a large bowl, whisk together flour, salt and baking powder, and set aside.
- In a stand mixer with the paddle attachment, cream the butter and cream cheese together. Add the sugar, beat until fluffy, and then add the egg and vanilla.
- Slowly add the dry ingredients until just combined. Cover and chill for 1 hour.
- With damp hands, roll the dough into balls and bake for about ~10 minutes. Enjoy!
